Welcome to your one-minute masterclass. I’m Andrea Trench, founder of DiscoverDance. When leading grown-up and child classes, your role must shift from teacher to facilitator. This will help our little ones recognize who is in the authoritative position without confusion. Leading the grown-ups through class, so they can then teach and guide their child, will ensure everyone knows the role they play. This is crucial for successful grown-up and child classes. 

Be sure to set simple and clear expectations on day one and review as needed. And, don’t underestimate the power of praise…for the grown-ups, that is. They need to know they are doing a good job.
