Minute Masterclass Episode 79

Welcome to your one-minute masterclass. I’m Andrea Trench, founder of DiscoverDance and creator of the Foundations Course for Early Childhood Dance Educators. Today we are exploring the theme, ‘Round the Campfire. Our concept for this theme is RELATIONSHIPS. We create a multi-sensory learning environment by introducing the concept with themed movement cards, hoops, a giant stretchy band, and a stuffed campfire. We develop our spatial awareness, critical thinking, and problem solving skills as we move OVER, UNDER, AROUND, THROUGH, IN, OUT, ON, OFF, BESIDE and BETWEEN our own body, our classmates, and props. We explore our theme and the concept of the day with the song We’re Going on A Bear Hunt by The Kiboomers.
