Minute Masterclass Episode 97

Welcome to your one-minute masterclass. I’m Andrea Trench, founder of DiscoverDance and creator of the Foundations Course for Early Childhood Dance Educators. Today in our Power of Props series, we are talking about reinforcement props. Reinforcement props are a creative and fun way to reinforce skills and class goals. Some examples could be balloons, balloon balls, expandable balls, paper plates, movement dice, movement or flash cards to name a few. In episode 91, I spoke about how students thrive in a multi-sensory environment. These reinforcement props enhance the learning experience and reach multiple learning styles.

Activities you can include in your classes are using a paper plate under your feet as you practice tendus, using movement cards to promote creativity, or movement dice to practice dance terminology. The creative possibilities are endless with reinforcement props! For more information, visit DiscoverDance.com.
