Minute Masterclass Episode 41

Welcome to your one-minute masterclass. I’m Andrea Trench, founder of DiscoverDance. Keeping little ones moving in a line is no easy task! But, it’s important to set the foundation for this skill early. Here at DiscoverDance, we have implemented a taped train track as our visual guide for teaching little ones how to stand in line and move in a line. Each dancer is assigned a colored track to stand on while waiting their turn to go through the obstacle course. When the track in front of them is empty, they know it’s time to move up. The multiple colored tracks make it easy for the teachers to guide the students if needed. A simple, “Maria, move up to the yellow track, you’re next!” is all that’s needed as a friendly reminder. No space for a tape tracked? No problem, the same objective can be achieved with poly spots. For more resources, visit DiscoverDance.com.
