Minute Masterclass Episode 138

 Welcome to your one-minute masterclass. I’m Andrea Trench, founder of DiscoverDance and creator of the Foundations Course for Early Childhood Dance Educators and the DiscoverDance Experience Membership. Today, I am sharing an Acro Braindance. 

 Breath: Inhale as you move to open neck position. Exhale as you move to chin tuck position. Repeat 4 times.

 Tactile: Stretch legs to pike position. Tap from head to pointed toes feeling a gentle hamstring stretch. Reverse with slaps. Repeat with squeezes and brushes.

 Core/Distal: Pull everything into tuck position. Stretch out to straddle position. Stretch to each leg then forwards.

 Head/Tail: In butterfly position, rock side to side. Stretch forwards then look back to the wall. Repeat.

 Upper/Lower: Cross legs and shake arms. Glue hands to floor and kick legs. Repeat.

 Body Sides: Battement as you high five the same foot as working leg. Repeat other side.

Cross Lateral: Reach opposite elbow to knee (cross crawl). Repeat both sides.

Vestibular: Practice donkey kicks.
