I’m Andrea Trench, founder of DiscoverDance and creator of the Foundations Course for Early Childhood Dance Educators and the DiscoverDance Experience Membership. Today, and for the next few minute masterclasses, we are looking at the methodology behind DiscoverDance. DiscoverDance has been evolving since the early 2000s. After being introduced to Anne Green Gilbert’s work as a student of dance educator Kate Kuper, I began investing my time and energy into early childhood education. When I became a partner in a dance studio in 2006 I was able to begin shaping my curriculum. As exciting as it is to have so many more early childhood resources available now, it can definitely be overwhelming. So, I want to share with you what makes DiscoverDance unique so you can decide if it’s the right fit for your studio.
