Welcome to your one-minute masterclass. I’m Andrea Trench, founder of DiscoverDance and creator of the Foundations Course for Early Childhood Dance Educators and the DiscoverDance Experience Membership.

Today, we’re beginning a new series on caregiver and tot classes. With the right resources and tools, these classes have the potential to be the most rewarding classes at your studio! As an advocate for your business as well as for the developing child, YOU have the opportunity to encourage the bond between participants while, at the same time, teaching the caregivers about your studio, how movement benefits their child’s development, and why the art form is so important for their child’s physical and mental health. 

By drawing families to your studio before they have the opportunity to sign their toddler up for a different activity, such as a music or gym class, gives your business and dance education a head start. But, let’s be honest…these classes can be stressful, so let’s talk about it! By the end of this series, you’ll be ready to lead caregiver and tot classes with confidence. Your dance families are going to love it!
