Minute Masterclass Episode 178

Welcome to your one-minute masterclass. I’m Andrea Trench, founder of DiscoverDance and creator of the Foundations Course for Early Childhood Dance Educators and the DiscoverDance Experience Membership. Let’s perform a ‘Round the Campfire themed obstacle course while exploring the concept of relationships. 

 For our waiting station, we move along our taped train track as we wait our turn. For our balance station, we bear walk over cones. For our gross motor station, we climb a tree (poly spot) moving our arms over our head and our feet on and off the spot. Then, we crawl through a cave (tunnel). During the spatial pattern station, we skip through the trail (poly feet) and leap over the puddles (poly spot). The exploration station includes a stuffed campfire with our giant stretchy band placed around the campfire. We sit on the stretchy band as we hold noodle sticks near and far from the campfire, pretending to roast marshmallows.  If time allows, we will get back on the train track and do it all over again.
